Safari Itinerary for Nine Nights with Classified Safaris

Day One

Arrive in Maun, were you will be met by your professional guide to take you to the lodge, spend the day at leisure and stay overnight as you will be recharging for a mouth watering safari experience.

Day two

Leave at around 09:00am for Xakanaxa area in the Moremi game reserve, situated in the midst of the famous Okavango Delta. This is one of Botswana’s popular safari destinations, were game is in abundance. Our back up team will be driving ahead of us to set up camp, giving us an opportunity to game drive while heading to camp. Packed lunch and refreshments will be served. We will arrive in camp, just before sunset and your camp will be set your guide will familiarize you with the bush life. Dinner will be served and a normal camp fire session follows.

Day Three

Start at the first light, after a quick breakfast to go and search for game, with information of their whereabouts being picked up by different types of field signs such as, tracks, sounds and smell. The morning drive will last for about three to four hours, with a break for coffee in between. Your morning game drive finishes just before noon, where upon your arrival in camp, your camp chef will be ready to serve you with lunch, followed by bush shower and siesta. High tea will be served at around 15:30hrs, followed by an afternoon game and a sundowner, then back to camp just after sunset.

Day Four

Get up with the first light of the day, with your luggage all packed before breakfast. On this day we move to Khwai area still in the Moremi game reserve, but situated on the eastern edges of the Okavango delta. Our travel will also be a full day game drive to enable the back- up crew to reset the camp. Packed lunch and refreshments will be served. We continue to search and explore this other places of interest just as of day three.

Day Five

Day Six

Start early for a full day drive to Savuti, situated on the south western side of Chobe Park. This place is unique to most of the areas as one starts to see the out crops of volcanic rocks, Bushmen rock paintings, the Maghwikwe sand ridge and of course the Savuti channel, well known to its flowing and drying up at times. All this makes up some very good stories around the fire. Packed lunch and refreshments will be served.

Day Seven

Sometimes a wake call in the morning will be done by the roaring of the lions, yelling of the hyenas or the francolins. The information will be enough to plan your game drive right.

The morning game drive starts at the first light, with the excitement of the night commotions. People will be discussing about the sounds of the night. Your morning game drive finishes just before noon, where upon your arrival in camp, your camp chef will be ready to serve you with lunch, followed by bush shower and siesta. High tea will be served at around 15:30hrs, followed by an afternoon game and a sundowner.

Day Eight

Start early and drive to Chobe river front. This is the place where most of Botswana’s elephant has chosen to be their home. The Chobe River is the only source where they congregate for water during the dry season. Packed lunch and refreshments will be served. Find a spot along the river and sit and wait as you will be watching different animal’s coming to quench their thirst. A sundowner along the river then head back to camp. Dinner and camp fire stories as usual.

Day Nine

Day Ten

This is normally the day of emotions. The friendship, brotherhood with both animals and the team has to temporarily break. But we believe the safari with us never comes to an end. Your transfer to your place of destination marks our official ending of the safari. See you again.
